Rove: A Bad Day for the Obama Agenda

Karl Rove concludes, "Tuesday's election results reflect an anti-Washington, anti-Obama, anti-establishment feeling among voters, but they also reflect the candidates' individual winning messages," according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.Case-in-point says Rove is Kentucky's GOP primary, where tea party activist Rand Paul won the Republican nomination to replace retiring Sen. Jim Bunning. "Dr. Paul's emphasis on fiscal issues trumped Mr. Grayson's emphasis on biography. The sluggish economy, combined with Mr. Obama's budget-busting agenda, sparked a populist reaction that Dr. Paul tapped with attacks on deficits, spending and special interests," notes Rove. The defeat of Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter shows opportunistic politicians are rarely trusted or accepted, Rove concludes."The Democratic theory that voter anger would fade or burn out once health care was passed was wrong-headed and was undermined Tuesday. That anger remains and likely will persist through the November elections," he adds.To read the full Wall Street Journal story Go Here Now.
