ABOUT THE ALLIANCE TO END HUNGER

The Alliance to End Hunger engages diverse institutions to build the public and political will to end hunger at home and abroad.

WHO WE ARE

The Alliance to End Hunger believes that it takes the combined effort of all sectors in society to end hunger at home and abroad. In our efforts towards this goal, we have grown into a diverse coalition of 85 member organizations – corporations, non-profit groups, universities, associations, individuals, health care providers, foundations, and faith-based organizations – all working together in the fight against hunger. The Alliance to End Hunger develops innovative partnerships among our members; political commitment among our leaders; and connections among groups working to end hunger domestically and internationally.

Jack Taylor is the chairman for the Alliance to End Hunger, and a governing board member for Common Cause.

George Soros is the chairman for the Foundation to Promote Open Society, and a board member for the International Crisis Group.

David J. Lane was the president & CEO for the ONE Campaign, the assistant to the president & counselor to the chief of staff for the Barack Obama administration, and is the U.S. representative for the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture.

Michelle Obama is an advocate for the ONE Campaign.

Samantha Power was a director at the International Rescue Committee, a board member for the International Crisis Group, and is the United Nations U.S. ambassador for the Barack Obama administration.

United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture is a division of the United Nations.

Eva M. Clayton was the assistant director-general for the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture, and is an honorary co-chair for the Alliance to End Hunger.
