Boehner: There Is a Crisis In Relations Between Cops and African-Americans

Boehner: There Is a Crisis In Relations Between Cops and African-Americans
by Ian Hanchett 2 May 2015
House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) said there is a crisis in relations between African-Americans and law enforcement in an excerpt of an interview with “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd aired on Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Up with Steve Kornacki.”

Todd asked Bohner if he believes there is “a national crisis when it comes to the relationship between African-Americans and law enforcement?” He responded, “I do. I think that if you look at what’s happened over the course of the last year, you just got to scratch your head. And when you hear about these charges that have been brought [in the death of Freddie Gray]…public servants, should not violate the law. And if these charges are true, it’s outrageous and it’s unacceptable.”
