News' Media Again, Saying They Can 'Cause War!'

President Trump is supposed to be taking a break, a
little down time. But that doesn't mean he's getting off Twitter.
The president is hanging out this week at the Trump
National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. All recent presidents have taken
time off during August, with Barack Obama heading to Martha's Vineyard and
George W. Bush holing up at his Prairie Chapel ranch in Texas.
Most of them went quiet, too. But Trump, who reportedly
sleeps only four to five hours a night, just can't do that.
On Sunday, Trump doubled down on his attacks against the "fake
news" media, saying they are "purposely" causing
"division and distrust” and "can also cause War!"
"The Fake News hates me saying that they are the
Enemy of the People only because they know it’s TRUE," he wrote on Twitter
in an early morning post. "I am providing a great service by explaining
this to the American People.
"They purposely cause great division &
distrust," he added. "They can also cause War! They are very
dangerous & sick!"
Trump also defended his son for a meeting with Russians
in Trump Tower.
"Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I
am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower.
This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done
all the time in politics - and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!"
Trump tweeted.
The president also defended his use of tariffs to offset
the U.S. trade deficit before returning to hit the media one last time.
"Too bad a large portion of the Media refuses to
report the lies and corruption having to do with the Rigged Witch Hunt - but
that is why we call them FAKE NEWS!" Trump wrote.

The power of the press can be used to deliberately lead
people astray, and to make them believe whatever propagandists want them to
believe. In honor of the first man to use them I call modern propaganda and
information-management techniques "Hitler's Legacy".
When Adolph Hitler took power in Germany he also took
over the media, and he used it to shape a modern, civilized country to his
ends. With full control of the national press his propaganda minister Paul
Josef Goebbels developed sophisticated and very effective tools of propaganda
to control public opinion in Germany, and even in other countries.
