Haley was seen as a contender for the Republican nomination.[228][229][230] In late October 2023, she was polling at about 8.3% in national Republican primary opinion polls, behind Trump and Ron DeSantis.[231] She received endorsements from two U.S. representatives—Ralph Norman and Will Hurd.[232][233][234] Cindy Warmbier, mother of Otto Warmbier, also endorsed Haley's bid.[235] In November 2023, Haley was endorsed by Americans for Prosperity Action, an organization connected to the Koch network.
