- Naturalized Citizen – Born in another country of
foreign parents, and completed the naturalization process –
Naturalized Citizens can hold any elected
office except President or Vice President.
Example: Former
Governor Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger who was born in Austria of Austrian parents
and become a Naturalized Citizen.
- Native Born Citizen – Born in the United States of
foreign parents –
Native Born Citizens can hold any elected
office except
Vice President or President.
Example one: Senator Marco Rubio was
born in the United States, but his parents were not citizens of the United
States at the time of his birth.
Example two: So
called “anchor babies” who are born in the United States and are thus citizens
of the United States, but whose parents are not citizens of the United States.

Natural Born Citizen – A Natural Born Citizen is a
"second generation American citizen." They are the natural
offspring of citizen parents, and the history of the Constitutional phrase Natural
Born Citizen emphasizes a citizen father.
Only two elected
offices have the constitutional requirement of "Natural Born
Citizen;" President and Vice President.
Example:
Citizens born in the United States to two American citizen parents are Natural Born

George Bush and Bill Clinton are Natural Born Citizen
