GOP frontrunner Donald Trump posted a new video on Instagram captioned, “We need a real President!”

The video begins, “We are in a serious war,” followed by clips of news coverage from the terror attacks by the Islamic State (ISIS).

“Our president is busy with another war,” the ad reads before jumping to a soundbite from President Obama.

“Okay everybody, I’ve got to get to Star Wars,” Obama says at a press conference.

“Time for a leader with real priorities,” the video concludes.

Iranian rockets passed within 1,500 yards of a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier in the Strait of Hormuz last week, a senior defense official confirmed Tuesday to Fox News.

Cmdr. Kyle Raines, a U.S. Central Command spokesman, said in a statement to the Associated Press early Wednesday that Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval vessels fired "several unguided rockets" after giving only 23 minutes' notice over maritime radio that a live-fire exercise would be carried out. The incident was first reported by NBC News.

Raines described the Iranian fleet's actions as "highly provocative".

"Firing weapons so close to passing coalition ships and commercial traffic within an internationally recognized maritime traffic lane is unsafe, unprofessional and inconsistent with international maritime law," the spokesman said.

While the United States has complained previously about other Iranian war games and maneuvers there, Saturday's incident comes after a series of weapons tests and other moves by Tehran following this past summer's nuclear deal. Iranian media and officials did not immediately discuss the tests Wednesday.

In addition to the Truman, the destroyer USS Bulkeley and French frigate FS Provence were in the area, as was commercial sea traffic.

A U.S. military official told The Hill newspaper that the Iranian ships approached the Truman and other vessels before announcing it was setting the live-fire exercise in motion and requesting nearby vessels to keep clear.

Just 23 minutes later, the Iranians repeated the warning and the rockets were launched. It was not immediately clear how many projectiles were fired. The Hill reported the ships departed the area after the launches.

Officials said the rockets traveled in a direction taking them away from the Truman and other shipping traffic in the strait, which conncts the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea and is the route for nearly a third of all oil traded by sea.

The Truman arrived in the Persian Gulf recently to provide a launching point for airstrikes against the ISIS terror group in Iraq and Syria. It replaces the USS Theodore Roosevelt, which departed the Middle East this past October. The French aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle is also in the Gulf to perform similar functions.

Susan Sarandon spent the Christmas holiday on the Greek island of Lesbos assisting international organizations with the mounting Syrian refugee crisis — a crisis, she says, that recalls the travails of Joseph and Mary on their way to the Inn in Bethlehem.

In a column for the Huffington Post and RYOT, the 69-year-old Oscar-winning actress described meeting a 16-year-old girl who had apparently given birth shortly before arriving on the island.

“I smile and approach her, but without a translator, our conversation is basic-friendly,” Sarandon wrote of her experience. “She takes the bundle next to her and opens it to me. Inside is a perfect, rosy, newborn.”

The actress continues:

She is beaming, so proud. How did this young girl, just having given birth, manage that trip at sea? How did she do all that walking? Where did she give birth?

Wasn’t Mary just a kid too when she and Joseph took to the road? So far, there is no manger for this Syrian baby, no room at the inn.

Sarandon’s short column is part of a new collaborative series with the Huffington Post and the “virtual reality” network RYOT called The Crossing, which will see the actress host a series of reports “chronicling the refugee crisis as it unfolds in Greece.”

Sarandon detailed her week-long trip to the Greek island in an interview with the Guardian this week. She told the paper that she packed granola bars, emergency blankets, socks, and hand warmers to distribute to the refugees and reportedly assisted at least four different international organizations working on the island.

“I wanted to learn from the refugees, take their stories and somehow put them on the Internet,” Sarandon told the Guardian. “My main goal was to humanize the issue and have them be real people, not politicize it.”

The actress also criticized the political discourse surrounding the refugee crisis in the United States: “It seemed like people who had the loudest voices were the most xenophobic and un-American,” she said.

Sarandon isn’t the only actor to have visited the Greek island to assist international aid efforts for refugees; Homeland star Mandy Patinkin recently spent time there assisting the International Rescue Committee after wrapping production on the fifth season of the hit Showtime drama.
