VIDEO: Pelosi, in Defending Kaepernick, Repeatedly Mispronounces His Name
By Shannon McGorry
September 25, 2017
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” this weekend, and in defending football player Colin Kaepernick’s movement to take a knee during the national anthem, she repeatedly proved she couldn’t even pronounce his name.
“Somebody, Colin Komper…  Komper… Kompernick doing what he did, he said this flag enables me to do this, this anthem enables me to do this, this is about freedom of expression,” stumbled Pelosi.
Needless to say, it was very clear the House minority leader didn’t fully know the name of the person she’s so adamantly defending. Watch the major gaffe above.

Colin Kaepernick
Colin Rand Kaepernick (/ˈkæpərnɪk/ KAP-ər-nik;[1] born November 3, 1987) is an American civil rights activist and American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL). As a political activist, he is best known for kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality in the United States.

Pelosi suffers brain freeze while defending NFL kneelers: ‘Kaep– Kaep– Kaepernick’
September 24, 2017
By Kyle Olson
Nancy Pelosi defended unemployed NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s “First Amendment” right to disrespect the American flag during the national anthem, even if she struggled to say his name.

During an appearance on “Meet The Press,” Pelosi sided with the former 49ers quarterback, and other players refusing to stand for our country.

The House Minority Leader chided President Trump for his comments, saying she believes he’s violating his promise to “bring people together.”

She didn’t criticize the players, who are offending so many Americans.

“Colin Kaep— Kaep— Kaepernick, uh, doing what he did, says this flag enables me to do this. This national anthem enables me to do this,” she said, initially struggling to speak.

“This is about freedom of expression,” Pelosi said.

She added Trump’s response is “unfortunate” and believes he was “ill advised” to criticize the anti-American players.

During an appearance for a U.S. Senate candidate in Alabama on Friday, President Trump blasted NFL players standing against America by taking a knee during the national anthem.

Campaigning for Luther Strange for the seat vacated by now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Trump waded into the controversy.

“We’re proud of our country. We respect our flag,” the president told the audience in Huntsville.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field! He’s fired.’

“‘He’s fired!'” Trump shouted to a roaring audience.

The president’s slam comes one day after the stadium in San Francisco for a game between the 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams was less than half full.

“Time for kickoff,” LA Times reporter Lindsey Thiry tweeted.

In the second half, the seats were only about half full.

NFL Players Should Think Hard Before They Take A Knee
June 6, 2020 By Chris Morton
With the George Floyd protests and riots, feelings and emotions have inevitably diverged with statistical fact more than ever. The narrative is rammed down our throats at a rapid rate, while the statistical data is inevitably more complex and requires part of an afternoon to digest. In the age of high-octane social media, part of an afternoon is no longer on the table.

So as this battle over Floyd is fought — although in reality, it’s a unanimous agreement, not a battle at all — the sub-battles of the culture war ensue. One of these battles is our great national anthem.

The anthem has been a topic of contention since Colin Kaepernick took a knee. Fortunately, nothing too crazy followed. Some players took knees, many did not, and most of America moved on with life.

But now, as passions are hot, the left has decided to get some “woke contracts” signed ASAP. One of them directly asks players to declare if they too will kneel for the national anthem.

Drew Brees recently gave one of the most eloquent answers on this topic, declaring what our anthem means to him and honoring his family. His explanation was nonpartisan and from his heart, and it was going to help pave the way for his team and many others to follow suit with pride. Less than 24 hours later, the thought police attacked him, and he released an immediate apology. His “taking a knee contract” has now been signed, and you had better believe he will be kneeling from here on out.

Conservatives such as myself who reside in liberal cities understand the pressure leftist peers and colleagues apply so we will agree with them, like a leftist pick axe slowly chipping away at a rock of integrity. One exhausting battle after another, it can be so tempting to grant a couple wins to keep good relations. Often we are tempted to concede to preserve our own livelihoods.

You see conservatives like George W. Bush falling into the trap and contributing to the rhetorical nonsense of our “nation’s disturbing bigotry and exploitation.” This short-sighted strategy to gain unity and ease tension is really a long-term infliction of damage that only reinforces the false media narrative, which seems to have no end.

The last two weeks have exhausted us emotionally. It’s easy just to capitulate and say the words that make the leftists happy. Is the anthem the hill we really want to die on? Yes, it is.

Not only does kneeling for the anthem have its own symbolic importance for the heroes and defenders of our great nation, but another issue is at stake here: The kneeling is for police brutality-related deaths in the black community, which in 2019 resulted in exactly nine deaths of unarmed black men within a black population of 30 million.

No matter how you feel about that number, do you ever really think it will get lower or go away, given there are 375,000 interactions with police every year? Do you think with human error and the occasional outlying bad actor that number could ever possibly drop to zero?

Here’s a message to NFL players facing this decision: If you fear the media blowback for not declaring now that you’ll take a knee, just think how much press you will get hammered with if you declare you will take the knee and decide later you want your national anthem back. You will have signed a deal with the devil, and you will be on that knee the rest of your career. Think very hard about this decision.

Emotions are high, and kneeling now is very tempting. We all just want to be good people, and we are being told this is the way. Just know this: Once you kneel, you will never get up again. Do not give up on our national anthem.

Cops, Live PD Episodes Pulled From Schedule Amid George Floyd Protests
(The Left Democrats have a Powerful Network. See Past Research Below. Connect the Dots!)
By Rebecca Iannucci / June 5 2020, 1:47 PM PDT
In the wake of ongoing global protests against systemic racism and police brutality, Paramount Network has shelved Cops‘ upcoming season premiere, TVLine has confirmed.

The long-running docuseries was slated to return for Season 33 on Monday, June 8 at 10/9c. Per the cabler’s schedule, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II will instead air from 8 pm to 1 am that night. A rep for Paramount Network tells TVLine there are currently no plans to run any new Cops episodes in the future.

Additionally, A&E Network has opted not to air new episodes of Live PD on June 5 and 6 in light of recent events. There’s no word on when the show’s fourth season will resume; episodes of Live Rescue, a Live PD spinoff that centers on firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, will air this weekend instead.

Brad Pitt to Voters: ‘Don’t Be So Emotional’
Wednesday, November 25, 2015
by Daniel Nussbaum 24 Nov 2015
Brad Pitt offered up some advice to those about to vote in the 2016 elections — don’t let emotion cloud your judgement.

“Don’t be so emotional,” Pitt advised voters at the premiere of his new movie The Big Short in New York on Monday, according to the New York Daily News.

“Don’t see the world from our own backyard,” Pitt added. “Understand everyone has self-interest and that we are now in a community. We are not an island and we don’t always know best so let’s check ourselves.”

The Big Short is based on the true story of four men who predicted the 2008 financial collapse — Ben Hockett, Steve Eisman, Michael Burry, and Greg Lippmann — and who profited mightily by betting against the American economy. Pitt, who also produced the film under his Plan B production shingle, clearly gained some perspective on the financial crisis while working on it.

“This entitlement that you can make money off the backs of others without being responsible to what it’s doing to them or what it could do to them drives me crazy,” Pitt told the Daily News. “The fact that no one was held accountable after this mass failure drives me crazy so I wanted this story told. I’m really proud to be able to tell this story.”

Director Adam McKay (Anchorman, Step Brothers) echoed his star’s sentiments, telling the paper: “Banking’s just got to be cleaned up. There’s nothing wrong with banking in essence. It’s just when you take away the regulations it gets in trouble.”

Paramount moved The Big Short up from its 2016 release date to this December, which allows the film to compete in this year’s Oscar race. Ryan Gosling, Steve Carrell, and Christian Bale round out the all-star cast. The film hits select theaters December 11 before opening wide on December 23.

Duck Dynasty: 'We Cannot Imagine the Show Going Forward' Without Phil

Duck Dynasty: 'We Cannot Imagine the Show Going Forward' Without Phil
by John Nolte 20 Dec 2013, 4:52 AM PDT
In a statement released Thursday evening on their website, Duck Dynasty's Robertson posted an official statement that said in part, "[W]e cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm." The patriarch is 67-year-old Phil Robertson, who was suspended by A&E for expressing his Christian beliefs about sin during an interview with GQ Magazine.

The Robertson family added, "We are in discussions with A&E to see what that means for the future of Duck Dynasty."

In his comments, Robertson listed over a half-dozen sins including drunkenness, greed, idolatry, and adultery. The left and media, however, took exception to Robertson adding homosexual behavior to that list, and called for Robertson's head. A&E immediately buckled and suspended Robertson indefinitely.

The public backlash against A&E has been intense, and the uproar has divided the left. While GLAAD and many in the elite media scream "witch!", the likes of the openly gay and left-wing Andrew Sullivan and lesbian feminist Camille Paglia  have been critical of A&E and those calling for Robertson to be punished for expressing his religious beliefs.

A&E is the only one in a pickle here. They are the only ones who did anything wrong and "Duck Dynasty" is not only their only hit show, it is the biggest hit on cable. The Robertson family can take their show anywhere, including online. A&E needs them, not the other way around.
Read the full statement from the Robertson family here.

Smithsonian Admits to Destruction of Thousands of Giant Human Skeletons in Early 1900′s
Wednesday, December 10, 2014
America, Archeology, Science
A US Supreme Court ruling has forced the Smithsonian institution to release classified papers dating from the early 1900′s that proves the organization was involved in a major historical cover up of evidence showing giants human remains in the tens of thousands had been uncovered all across America and were ordered to be destroyed by high level administrators to protect the mainstream chronology of human evolution at the time.

The allegations stemming from the American Institution of Alternative Archeology (AIAA) that the Smithsonian Institution had destroyed thousands of giant human remains during the early 1900′s was not taken lightly by the Smithsonian who responded by suing the organization for defamation and trying to damage the reputation of the 168-year old institution.

During the court case, new elements were brought to light as several Smithsonian whistle blowers admitted to the existence of documents that allegedly proved the destruction of tens of thousands of human skeletons reaching between 6 feet and 12 feet in height, a reality mainstream archeology cannot admit to for different reasons, claims AIAA spokesman, James Churward.

«There has been a major cover up by western archaeological institutions since the early 1900′s to make us believe that America was first colonized by Asian peoples migrating through the Bering Strait 15,000 years ago, when in fact, there are hundreds of thousands of burial mounds all over America which the Natives claim were there a long time before them, and that show traces of a highly developed civilization, complex use of metal alloys and where giant human skeleton remains are frequently found but still go unreported in the media and news outlets» he explains.

A giant human femur uncovered in Ohio in 2011 by the American Association for Alternative Archeology, similar to the evidence presented in court

A turning point of the court case was when a 1.3 meter long human femur bone was shown as evidence in court of the existence of such giant human bones. The evidence came as a blow to the Smithsonian’s lawyers as the bone had been stolen from the Smithsonian by one of their high level curators in the mid 1930′s who had kept the bone all his life and which had admitted on his deathbed in writing of the undercover operations of the Smithsonian.

«It is a terrible thing that is being done to the American people» he wrote in the letter. «We are hiding the truth about the forefathers of humanity, our ancestors, the giants who roamed the earth as recalled in the Bible and ancient texts of the world».

The US Supreme Court has since forced the Smithsonian Institution to publicly release classified information about anything related to the “destruction of evidence pertaining to the mound builder culture” and to elements “relative to human skeletons of greater height than usual”, a ruling the AIAA is extremely enthused about.

«The public release of these documents will help archaeologists and historians to reevaluate current theories about human evolution and help us greater our understanding of the mound builder culture in America and around the world» explains AIAA director, Hans Guttenberg. «Finally, after over a century of lies, the truth about our giant ancestors shall be revealed to the world» he acknowledges, visibly satisfied by the court ruling.

The documents are scheduled to be released in 2015 and the operation will be coordinated by an independent scientific organization to assure political neutrality.

Darwin Exhibition Opens at Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History
September 10, 2009
The National Museum of Natural History will open a new exhibition, “Since Darwin: The Evolution of Evolution,” Sept. 12 in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his groundbreaking “On the Origin of Species.” The exhibition will be on view through July 18, 2010. A team of museum scientists from the departments of Botany, Entomology, Mineral Sciences, Paleobiology and Vertebrate Zoology collaborated on the exhibition.
“Since Darwin: The Evolution of Evolution” highlights the significant role that Darwin’s theories have played in explaining and unifying all the biological sciences. Specimens from the museum’s diverse collections, along with documentation of ongoing research at the museum, illustrate the importance of evolution as a scientific foundation, and how knowledge of evolution has evolved over the past 150 years.
The exhibition includes about 90 objects with seven books and 80 specimens from the museum’s collections, including fossils, insects, plants, dog skulls, goat horns, mice and birds. The most intriguing specimen may also be considered one of the least attractive—a bird named the Hudsonian Godwit that Darwin collected in 1837. The presentation of new discoveries made by Museum of Natural History scientists shows the vast influence of the evolutionary theory and how the research and inquiry processes that Darwin promoted continue today. One recent discovery on view is a new species of heliconia plant that was named in honor of Cristián Samper, museum director and botanist.
The exhibition will be complemented by a public symposium on Darwin, a children’s public program and an exhibit presented by Smithsonian Institution Libraries.
The Darwin Anniversary Symposium will be hosted by Hans-Dieter Sues, associate director for Research and Collections, and Douglas Erwin, senior scientist in the Department of Paleobiology. This all-day event features talks on a variety of subjects from evolutionary biology by internationally renowned experts from the museum and other institutions. The symposium will take place Saturday, Sept. 12, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the museum’s Baird Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
“Create Your Own Nature Bio-Journal” is a kid-friendly workshop that will be held at the museum Saturday, Sept. 12, 1 – 4 p.m., in the Sant Ocean Hall. Guided by artist and author Edwin Fontánez, children create bio-journals to record observations of nature and decorate them with rubber stamps of their favorite animals, flowers and birds and their own drawings. Co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Latino Center, the workshop also celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. The event is free and open to the public.
The Smithsonian Institution Libraries opens its new exhibition, “Darwin’s Legacy,” at the museum Sept. 10. The exhibition features the first edition of Darwin’s book, “On the Origin of Species,” published in 1859. The exhibition also showcases Darwin’s silk neckerchief, Joseph Henry’s desk diary, beautifully illustrated volumes from “The Zoology of the Voyage of H.M.S. Beagle” (edited by Darwin and published from 1838 – 1843), a background map of the track of the H.M.S. Beagle and Galapagos land iguana and mockingbird specimens from the museum’s collections.
