Scarlett Johansson Stands with Planned Parenthood Amid
Organ Harvest Backlash
by Kelli Serio 30 Jul 2015
Despite a series of undercover videos that show Planned Parenthood executives discussing plans to
harvest the organs of aborted babies, Hollywood actress Scarlet Johansson is urging her fans to stand by the
organization.
The video, released Thursday, comes two weeks after pro-life
activists released the first of a series of online videos showing Planned
Parenthood execs discussing medical procedures for the sale of fetal tissue.
Hollywood celebrities are now uniting to show support for
the organization.
In a new clip posted to the group’s Instagram page,
Johansson can be heard pledging, “I stand with Planned Parenthood, because
Planned Parenthood stands up for me.
Planned Parenthood has started an online initiative, called
#StandwithPP, and the latest video appears to be just the beginning.
“We won’t back down. We won’t stop fighting to educate. We
will fight to protect access to reproductive health are for Planned Parenthood
patients,” reads an earlier post.
The group now has around 16 thousand Instagram followers,
and its bio reads:
“Hi! We’re America’s most trusted providers of reproductive
health care, and we think we look pretty good for nearly 100 years old.”
