Multiple people were shot at the Capital Gazette in
Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday, according to reports from local media.
Phil Davis, a reporter for the newspaper, told The Baltimore Sun
that multiple people were shot. WFLA reports:
A suspected gunman is in custody after a shooting at a
newspaper office left multiple people dead in Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday,
Fox News reported, citing Anne Arundel Sheriff Ron Batemen.
"Gunman shot through the glass door to the office
and opened fire on multiple employees," Davis wrote in a tweet. "Can't
say much more and don't want to declare anyone dead, but it's bad."
CBS Baltimore
reports that four people have been killed as a result of the shooting.
ABC7's Brad Bell
reported that multiple sources confirmed to him that the suspected gunman who
shot up the used a shotgun.
The Associated Press
noted that law enforcement officials are still searching the building and are
reporting that the scene is still considered "active."
