Obama Praises Caitlyn Jenner: ‘America Is More Accepting
Of People For Who They Truly Are’
by Charlie Spiering 26 Jun 2015
President Obama taped an exclusive video for Logo’s Trailblazer Honors tonight in New
York City, praising Caitlyn Jenner for blazing the trail for transgender people on
the most talked about Vanity Fair cover of the year.
In the video, Obama
praises “ten years of extraordinary progress for our country” on issues such as
gay marriage
and transgender issues.
“Today the majority
of Americans live in states where they can get married, no matter who they
love,” he said. “Today ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ is history.”
Alluding
to Jenner as an example, he continued:
“All you have to do
is look at this month’s cover of Vanity Fair to see how America is more
accepting of people for who they truly are.”

WASHINGTON -- Senate Majority

between a man and a woman but that states should decide whether it's legal for same-sex couples to marry.
The Nevada Democrat says he believes that people should marry
whomever they want, and that, in his words,
"it's no business of mine if two men or two women want to
get married."
Reid says his children and

a glimpse of the future.
Reid's home state of Nevada
