Charter Jet Company NBC Says Flew Prince in Emergency Landing is Owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway

Charter Jet Company NBC Says Flew Prince in Emergency Landing is Owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway

Executive Jet Management, the Cincinnati, Ohio based company that NBC News reports provided the charter jet service to late pop icon Prince for the flight that emergency landed in Moline on April 15, is owned by Berkshire Hathaway, the $210 billion corporation controlled by billionaire Warren Buffett, “The Sage of Omaha.”

Executive Jet Management is a subsidiary of NetJets, which in turn is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

NBC News reported Executive Jet Management operated the charter jet carrying Prince from Atlanta shortly after midnight on a flight plan to Minneapolis that made an emergency landing at the Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois in the early hours of April 15.

The times of that flight’s landing and departure from the Quad City International Airport as reported by NBC News are consistent with Breitbart’s independent reporting.

As NBC News reported:

The private jet he [Prince] was on was diverted about 300 miles before reaching Minneapolis to Moline, Illinois, according to flight records and statements made by Prince’s publicist last week.

The only flight scheduled from Atlanta to Minneapolis — and with a diversion to Moline — was a Dassault Falcon 990 jet operated by Executive Jet Management “Jet Speed.”

The flight took off at 12:51 a.m. ET April 15, and according to records, began an unscheduled landing to the Quad City International Airport in Moline at 2:01 a.m.

Records show that the plane had landed in northwestern Illinois after descending about 45,000 feet in about 17 minutes, at points reaching 5,000 feet per minute. A pilot of this type of aircraft tells NBC News that rate would certainly be indicative of a medical emergency on-board.

The Moline Fire Department told NBC News it received a call for Emergency Medical Services to respond to the airport at 2:15 a.m.

A source said that the plane had radioed in a medical emergency for an “unresponsive male.”

According to the NetJets website, “Executive Jet Management offers on-demand air charter services, charter aircraft management, and turnkey aircraft management services.”

Breitbart News contacted John Austin, the NetJets media contact, for comment.

“We don’t comment on our services to our customers. We are not confirming any press reports,” Austin tells Breitbart News.

Austin would neither confirm nor deny that NetJets has been contacted by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, the local Minnesota law enforcement agency in whose jurisdiction Prince died on April 21.

The Mirror recently reported that police investigators are interviewing everyone who was on the flight carrying Prince that emergency landed in Moline, Illinois on April 15.

Though the NBC report refers to the aircraft as a “Dassault Falcon 990,” a source familiar with aircraft used in charter services tells Breitbart News that Dassault manufactures only “Falcon 900” aircraft, which the Dassault corporate website confirms.

According to the Executive Jet Management website, the company “offers a broad range of private jet charter programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our client base.”

And whether you fly often or infrequently, our commitment to delivering superior, personalized customer service ensures that your charter experience, from the first phone call to the final landing, is seamless, dependable, and promises to exceed your expectations.

The Executive Jet Management website further indicates that customers participating in its flat-rate charter program can charter the company’s Falcon 900EX for use by up to 12 passengers at a cost of $8,000 per hour for round trip flights, or $11,000 per hour for one way flights.

The company classifies the Falcon 900/900B and the Falcon 900EX planes in its fleet as “heavy cabin jets” which are capable of transporting 10 to 16 passengers:

All heavy cabin jets include an enclosed lavatory and a fully-equipped galley with room for preparing and serving food and drinks. They also have the largest interiors and include sleeping accommodations for smaller groups. All flights will have a flight attendant on board. These jets provide the greatest number of amenities in the highest level of comfort.

Presumably, at least three Executive Jet Management employees–the pilot, co-pilot, and flight attendant who crewed the Falcon 900 on which Prince was a passenger on April 15–are among those who will soon be interviewed by police investigators looking into the details surrounding the death of Prince.
