The Salvation Army’s Unfortunate Experiment with Wokeness
Editor's
Note:
As increasing
numbers of previously respected organizations dabble in wokeness, they are
finding that they might have overplayed their hands. A recent example is the Salvation Army. As reported by Kevin Mooney, last
year's exposure of the Salvation Army's new race-based training materials most
assuredly contributed to a significant loss of donations — not because people
no longer believed in the organization's mission to help those in need, but
because of the incessant haranguing about white privilege, analyzing one's
biases, and forcing employees and volunteers into victim and oppressor
categories. What a shame that leftism continues to destroy everything it
infiltrates.
Connecting the Dots:
William A.
Roberts is the national commander for the Salvation Army
and a director at the National Coalition on Health Care.
Charles E.M. Kolb is
a director at the National Coalition on Health Care and the
president for the Committee for Economic Development.
Foundation to Promote Open Society was a funder for the Committee for
Economic Development.
George Soros was the Chairman for the Foundation to Promote Open Society.
Donna S. Morea was
a trustee at the Committee for Economic Development and the EVP for
the CGI Group Inc.
CGI Group Inc. was
the Obamacare contractor that developed Healthcare.gov
web site.
Obamacare is Barack Obama’s signature policy initiative.
