by Daniel Nussbaum 3 May 2015
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were not the only
ones getting pummeled in the ring during Saturday night’s fight at the MGM Grand Arena in Las
Vegas.
Actor/singer Jamie Foxx performed
a “distinct” version of the National Anthem ahead of Saturday night’s “Fight of
the Century,” and viewers promptly took to Twitter to bash the
star for the performance.
“Jamie Foxx making me feel good about my shower singing,” tweeted NBC
political reporter Luke Russert.
“Both Boxers should take the first minute of the 1st round
and knock out Jamie Foxx for butchering the Anthem!!” added
Larry the Cable Guy.
