It’s no secret that almost all of today’s news magazines are leftist tripe.

And they have rallied around Joe Biden and the Democrats to serve as the propaganda arm of the radical Left.

Now TIME Magazine has gone after Ron DeSantis for one insanely woke reason no one saw coming.

There was a time, believe it or not, when news magazines like TIME, U.S. News, Newsweek, and others were actually unbiased reporters of the news.

Dog whistles, phony racism, and leftist ideology

These publications once contained useful information and political commentary that many Americans and astute political pundits could use.

But now those days are long gone.

Instead the once proud news magazines have become nothing more than leftist propaganda merchants spewing socialist dog whistles, cries of fake racism, and radical leftist dogma.

And now they are defending the woke ideology that is destroying American culture.

TIME recently ran a story by Samuel L. Perry and Eric L. McDaniel that attacked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and tried to defend wokism.

Perry is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Oklahoma and author of four books.

McDaniel is an Associate Professor of Political Science and co-director of the Politics of Race and Ethnicity Lab at the University of Texas at Austin.

The two penned the article one would assume to try and defend and promote an ideology that is at best a sick joke, and at worst a disaster for the very Republic.

The “war on woke”

Perry and McDaniel begin their article with a clear swipe at popular Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

“On Jan. 12, 2023, Florida Gov. and possible GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis extended his ‘war on woke,’ when his administration rejected a proposed Advanced Placement African American Studies class from Florida high schools,” the authors wrote.

And the authors didn’t stop there but instead piled on their sarcastic remarks about DeSantis.

“The move was consistent with DeSantis’s proposed ‘Stop W.O.K.E Act’ in 2022, which aims to eliminate certain content from educational curriculum and has been under partial injunction since November,” the pair added.

Perry and McDaniel went on, “And on Jan. 20, 2023, a U.S. District Court judge upheld DeSantis’s suspension of Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren whom DeSantis claimed had prosecuted cases under ‘woke ideology.’”

But the authors were just getting warmed up and would soon drop the boom.

“DeSantis is only the most prominent example of Republican lawmakers claiming to fight ‘woke ideology,’ ‘wokeness,’ or the ‘woke left,’ and though occasionally pressed to provide definitions, politicians are strategically vague,” the pair continued.

Everything is racist

“Even with the ‘Stop W.O.K.E. Act,’ that clearly targets content about America’s racist history and systems, the acronym simply stands for ‘Wrong to our Kids and Employees.’ Nothing racial. Just as with all effective dog whistles, the racial implications must be subtle, or better yet, implied.”

There it is.

The mandatory racism in everything DeSantis is doing.

The authors claim that their so-called “research” proves that almost everyone who opposes woke ideology is a racist.

Of course, that is nothing new.

The Left has accused conservatives of being racist for decades.

Are you pro-life?

You’re a racist – despite the fact that blacks are the target of abortionists.

Do you believe in the Second Amendment?

Then you are certainly a racist.

Is your last name DeSantis, well then . . .

And the authors go further, claiming (based on a super reliable online poll) that the vast majority of Americans who call themselves ‘woke’ are black.

Thus, the authors claim anyone who opposes woke ideology must be racist.

Since Ron DeSantis is leading the fight against forced ‘wokism,’ he then, according to the authors, is the chief racist.

That is what passes as coherent left-wing ideology these days.

DeSantis Daily will keep you up-to-date on any developments to this ongoing story.
