Valerie Jarrett Praises Baltimore Citizens, For Cleaning Up

Valerie Jarrett Praises Baltimore Citizens, For Cleaning Up
by Charlie Spiering 28 Apr 2015
Since the violent protests and looting took place in Baltimore, President Obama’s senior advisor Valerie Jarrett has worked behind the scenes to address the chaotic situation, keeping in touch with local officials and keeping the president informed.

But throughout the day, members of the Obama administration lamented that the news media has focused only on the violent protestors and not the peaceful protestors and community organizers that are speaking out against the violence.

After President Obama addressed the situation during a press conference this afternoon, Jarrett praised the citizens of Baltimore on Twitter for working to clean things up.

“To the Baltimore citizens volunteering to clean up the debris from last night’s violence – thank you,” she wrote. “It’s your spirit that gives us hope.”
