Genetic Research Scientist: Likely Some Aborted Babies Are ‘Alive Until Their Hearts Are Cut Out’

The biomedical scientist—who assisted the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) in its preparation to infiltrate Planned Parenthood and expose its practice of harvesting aborted baby parts for sale to biomedical companies—says she suspects that the “babies in some of these cases were alive until their hearts were cut out” for harvesting.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Dr. Theresa Deisher, a world-renowned scientist in the field of adult stem cell therapies and regenerative medicine, discussed what is involved in harvesting the organs of aborted babies.

“If you read scientific publications, in which they use the fetal material for some indications, particularly, cardio-vascular, or nerve cell research, they discuss the necessity of having tissue in the digesting buffer solution within five minutes for optimal yields,” she explains. “So, within five minutes of death, you would have to have the heart removed, and flushed of all blood, cleaned of any extra tissue that might be there, and the heart put into a liquid with enzymes that would digest the connective tissue and release the muscle cells.”

“Sometimes, they use an apparatus where they hook the heart up and they would flush fluid through it to keep it alive and beating,” she continues. “And you can’t have a dead heart that’s going to work in that kind of process.”

Deisher states that, in these cases, in order for the organs of aborted babies to be viable for research, the baby must be kept alive with a beating heart in order to get it through the harvest.

“Biomedical companies prefer gestational ages of greater than 20 weeks for heart muscle,” she adds. “This is from reading their publications; so, I have always suspected that the babies in some of these cases were alive until their hearts were cut out.”

Deisher, who earned a doctorate in molecular and cellular physiology from Stanford University, is the founder of Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute and the CEO of AVM Biotechnology. Based in Seattle, she has 23 patents in her name and was the first person worldwide to identify and patent stem cells from the adult heart.

Though Deisher worked for two decades in the commercial biomedical field, she ultimately found the industry’s extensive experimentation with the remains of aborted babies incompatible with her pro-life values. She then began her own biotechnology companies that promote the use of adult stem cells for medical research.

“Listening from the first video where they talk about getting an intact [corpus] callosum—that’s like a partial birth—the head would have to be through the canal in order to get that material,” Deisher states.

In the first video released by CMP, Planned Parenthood chief medical officer Dr. Deborah Nucatola is heard saying, “Calvarium—the head—is basically the biggest part. Most of the other stuff can come out intact.”

Nucatola goes on to say the abortionist must be “just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that, you know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, and I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

Nucatola adds that the position of the baby can be altered so that he or she can be extracted up to the head and then the head collapsed so that all the other body parts can be salvaged for harvest.

“I don’t think that any American can imagine fully what is happening in these clinics,” Deisher asserts. “And, visually, perhaps, they need to see it. I think it’s important that people see the reality of what’s done. It’s absolutely barbaric.”

“Regardless of whether someone is in favor of a woman’s right to abort her baby, or not—this is just something that a civilized society does not allow, condone, or support,” she continues.

“I mean, we don’t even allow prisoners condemned to death to be approached for donation because it’s unethical,” Deisher adds. “So, as a society we know this is wrong—we have laws against it. And while people like to say the babies are going to die anyway—they’re going to be aborted—it’s sort of like an execution that’s planned, and we as a society recognize that it’s absolutely unethical to take advantage of the remains of that human being.”
