Tavis Smiley Says Black Americans Not Better Off After Five Years of Obama

Tavis Smiley Says Black Americans Not Better Off After Five Years of Obama
by Eric Cary 12 Oct 2013
On the Fox News Sean Hannity show Thursday evening, Hannity asked PBS’s Tavis Smiley, “Are black Americans better off five years into the Obama presidency?”

SMILEY: Let me answer your question very forthrightly. No, they are not. The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category. On that regard, the president ought to be held responsible.

Smiley also stated that he still respects the president and would protect the president. He also feels that president Obama is correct on the current shutdown battle and feels the Republicans are thwarting the rule of law.

Smiley also claimed that if the country goes into default over the debt ceiling it would be the Republicans' fault.
