'Sex and the City' Star Says Tea Party Pols Driven by Racism Against Obama

'Sex and the City' Star Says Tea Party Pols Driven by Racism Against Obama

Chris Noth, best known for playing Mr. Big in the Sex and the City franchise, blames the government shutdown on racism leveled against President Barack Obama by Tea Party politicians.

Perhaps Noth is unaware the government has shut down before without a black person in the Oval Office. Either way, the star of CBS's The Good Wife revealed his racial theories during a chat on Huff Post Live.

Noth said if Obama been white the government never would have shut down in the first place.

"I think racism can be an unconscious, knee jerk reaction without people even knowing it," Noth said while fleshing out his position.

"There is something about Obama that makes these people, ah, just intolerable ... i consider [Tea Party Republicans] to be un-American. I do. They don't care about the country. They care about their small constituents."
