Eric Holder Hospitalized as Precaution for Faintness

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department says Attorney General
Eric Holder has been taken to the
hospital as a precaution after experiencing faintness and shortness of breath
at work.
A statement from the department
says Holder is "resting comfortably and in good condition" at a Washington hospital
after feeling the symptoms during a Thursday morning meeting with senior staff.
The department says the
63-year-old attorney general is alert, talking with his doctors and undergoing
further evaluation.
No additional information was
immediately provided.
The White House says President Barack Obama has been
notified and wishes Holder a "speedy recovery."

Department of Justice for the Barack
Obama administration, a trustee at the Morehouse
School of Medicine, was an intern at the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, and a board member for
the American Constitution Society.
