THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM?

by Chrue Blue
2 Mar 2014

Long has there been a question in my mind about the origination of the insanity of which our world is currently and has been for some great length of time, laboring under at it's own peril. How could humans not have seen the destruction that was headed their way? Why was it eluded to by so many faithful ministers of the Word, so many erudite observers and yet never exactly proscribed by them to the world's inhabitants? Where did this “Lucis Trust”, Theosophic mentality come from and why has mankind been so neutered at rejecting it's proliferation? AND how do we now rid ourselves of the resulting insidious attack on our souls?

People must ask themselves, how, in God's name, can we retrieve our sanity from the insane corruption of this world. The answer is simple, yet insists on the utmost courage to examine...me thinks the Walt Kelly character “Pogo” had it precisely correct: ”We have met the enemy, and he is us”...

In my journey to understand this concept, it was impressed upon me, that the only place to start looking for the origins of something, anything, was to begin at the beginning...(I could hear the question rise within my mind)...And where is that, I wondered? Well, silly, at The Beginning of Everything! Sometimes the Truth is right in front of our noses, yet through some bizarre twist of intellectual dissonance, we fail to recognize the owner of the nose upon said face. So, to the Beginning we shall go.

For myself, and I pray for those who are truly seeking an answer to this perplexing conundrum, I went to the Bible. This seems the logical place to look for a germination point, or as Mr. Spock would say, 'The shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line' (Evidently, Mr. Spock was not aware of Common Core Standardized Testing)......so, let's do that. Logic is a wonderful thing.

In order to understand how corruption came into our “world”, we must admit that language is the vehicle by which it arrived. When did we learn language? Surprisingly, not until all things had been accomplished, after the 7th day of Creation and after Elohim rested. I use that term intentionally, since that is the triune Being that created Man. To illustrate, let us hear from the Scripture:
אלהים , 'ĕlôhı̂ym, (elo'heem) is a plural form specifically used for the Supreme God. Genesis records in Chap 1:26 thus: " And God said, Let us (elohiym) make man in our image" , or to expand, 'Let us fashion the human in our resemblance'. Resemblance comes from an unused root, צלם [tseh'lem] as in, a shadow of; So there is one sublime little mystery uncovered just a bit; God in His triune form created MAN, to be an image, reflection, resemblance of the triune nature of God. This is beginning to get encouraging!

We humans, have a multidimensional nature, which can be demonstrated by a physical presence, a spiritual presence and an intellectual presence. It is with the intellectual presence that we must take issue, for the purpose of this examination.

How did man become intellectually aware? That actually takes place in a very interesting way. Even though God created man on the 6th day, He did not inspire man to intellectual awareness until after He rested on the 7th day...the Sabbath ( that you may keep it Holy ). Just how did God do this? God SPOKE to the man. I find it of intense fascination that when God speaks something out loud, "stuff" materializes, it just comes into being, as if His speaking were some kind of magic wand of wonder...(which it actually is, but that's another talk show).

In Genesis 2:16-17, God finally speaks out loud to the man (Adam) for the very first time: "And the Lord God commanded the man, SAYING [ אמר aw'mar, to publish, report, certify], ' Of every tree of the garden thou shalt freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest of it thou shalt surely die. “

(And man said, Thank you; I was getting a little hungry, but that's been cured now).

Succumbing to temptation to throw a little humor in, it was done for a purpose. When faced with a challenging situation, our natural inclination is to try to soften the impact on our own psyche's. It helps us “deal” with difficult issues...since most people become uncomfortable with philosophical investigations, this commentary won't get weighty till a bit later. We'd like to think that Man had a sense of humor from the start, but I doubt it.. . Man experienced, upon the very first moment of hearing the word spoken to him from his Creator God, not only a manifestation of awareness but he also understood the language giving a strict warning of the ramifications of irresponsibility and disobedience to his Maker. A lot to chew on at the first experience of the sound of God uttered Voice. How do we relate to this?

Consider this analogy : if you go out and purchase a brand new auto, right directly off the line at the factory, you actually watch as it is started for the very first time and it stirs into a whirring, shiny new machine with life under it's hood... there is a sense of exhilaration! Chevy, the heartbeat of America! See? It evokes a sense of wonder at the fresh breath of primal existence! Then, as you rush toward your never-touched-by-human-hands steering wheel, the factory Supervisor, stops you abruptly and hands you the owners manual, with the caution “DO NOT PUT DIESEL FUEL IN THIS CAR; IT USES GASOLINE! (E-85, probably...) So now you're not only excited, but you are warned to be cautious, or your beautiful new toy will cease to function appropriately!!

God did the same thing. Jehovah Elohiym is perfect, thus, whatever He creates is perfect. He would like to have seen His creation remain so, but God knew better...God knows the ending from the beginning. He knew what was going to happen, and He had already made arrangements for what to do about it before He even spoke to the new human. (re, Isaiah 46:10). But let's not get sidetracked here.

God turned the key on to energize man's intellect. Man became a thinking organism, who could reason, observe, analyze and make decisions. But that superiority Man was given over beasts came with responsibility and accountability. “Elections have consequences”. Decisions   have consequences. So I want to examine verse 17 a little closer. Just what does the “tree of knowledge of good and evil” mean? How does that figure into this exploration? Well, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum (as they say in Rome)...a light bulb went on over my head as I pondered that objective. What form was the tree? Was it a real tree? How does knowledge grow on a tree? What did “good” and “evil” look like? Were they fruits? The verse doesn’t say anything about fruit, but what else grows on a tree? Am I over-thinking this???

The answers are astonishing. Given intellectual awareness and moral philosophy at that moment, man was to preserve it's firm integrity (wood, tree) untouched by harvesting or pruning. Why? Because it would change the nature of the tree, and it was wholly unnecessary to the benefit of Man, at that time. Man was given everything he needed within the Garden (the earth) and didn't need to decipher the difference between “good” (beautiful favor) and “evil” (misery, sorrow and trouble). Here, the distinction is made between merit and disfavor.

God issued a command. This is required in order to bring forth into consciousness the hitherto latent sensibility to moral obligation which was laid within the original constitution of Man’s being. A command implies a 'superior', whose right it is to command, and an 'inferior', whose duty it is to obey. From the knowledge of the fundamental relation of the creature to the Creator springs an immediate sense of the obligation he is under to render implicit obedience to the Author of his being. It calls up in his breast the sense of duty, of right, of responsibility. These feelings could not have been elicited unless the susceptibility to moral obligation had been previously laid within the soul, and only required the first command to awaken it into consciousness.

The discernment of merit is awakened in man's mind by this tree. Obedience to the command of God not to partake of this tree is a moral good. Disobedience to God by partaking of it is a moral evil. When we have formed an idea of a quality, we have at the same time an idea of its contrasting opposite...evil was as yet (then) known in that fair world only as the negative of good. The contraposition here is exemplary: Good vs Evil is the exact contradiction between the Most Holy and Benevolent Lord God and the Destroyer Adversary, Lucifer Satan. Trusting God and obedience to Him brings life everlasting (ultimate good) whereas, rejection and disobedience (the negative of good) brings expiration (the result of doing evil, death). Let us get back to the examination...

Man was put in the Garden to keep and tend it. Expanding on that premise, we see that the “garden” was the abode of humankind. The earth, by extension, was to be guarded, nurtured, kept free of encroaching defilement no matter what form it took (wild beasts, depletion of nutrients in the soil, fouling of the waters; in short, to keep it pristine and pure). It also signifies the keeping of oneself unspoiled, to preserve the trust and faith galvanized in and by obedience to the Creator insuring the bounteous favors of blessings, enabled as a result of that obedience, to be enjoyed at great length in peaceful harmony with the Creator and nature.

Hence, Man, did not need the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil for his sustenance, as it is apparent that all the other “trees” were given over to Man for his enjoyment, both for physical/ visual comforts and as nourishment’s, including the Tree of Life.

Now comes the hard part. Since Man knew that he had the ability to partake of the abundant blessings (fruits, trees, etc) of the Garden, there was only one item of which he was not to touch or “eat thereof” (consume from). Enter, the moral obligation of responsibility. Hence, there was only one resource available to entice Man, to his corruption: It was the (tree of) firm knowledge between blessed, beautiful favor (Good) and miserable sorrows (Evil). Without going into all the varied areas of implications that extend from there, we'll just say, the Serpent knew the area and the prey...quite well. Enter the Woman.

Woman, “Eve” was not an original creation, but a secondary one; having been taken from the body of the Man, she was therefore consecrated to him, Adam, as his own flesh and was to respect his headship over her. It was Adam's responsibility to see to her protection, her well being and survival and to cherish her as the vessel through which his seed would replenish the earth, subdue it and bring forth bounty. Metaphorically, she was also a form of 'tree': tended properly, nourished properly and protected properly, she would enhance his life, bring him joy and comfort and become fruitful to his perpetuation. Yet, it appears for a moment he left her unescorted and vulnerable. The Serpent saw his opportunity and slithered into her hearing...the seduction was made, by deception; the serpent used a trick that has been repeated throughout the ensuing millennia, by every seducer after his kind: the power to be like God Himself! To KNOW the difference between bounty and want, to be 'SELF AWARE”, beyond dependence on God.

What the Serpent didn't alert Eve to, was that she would trade one form of dependence for another...and the other form of dependence was the worst tragedy ever...a separation from the presence of God and His magnificent grace (temporarily, if one accepts Salvation through the atonement provided by the shed blood of the Christ). It was and continues to be deception through which the world is utterly perverted beyond repair. It is Deception that corrupts the intellect of the proud and the vain, persuading them they are better, wiser, finer, richer, more worthy, monarchical, more superior and therefore far higher in entitlement to positions of power and importance than the balance of humankind who are looked upon as mere objects of servitude. Was it not the devil who took Jesus up to an “exceeding high mountain, showing Him all the kingdoms of the world and then said to Jesus, “...All these things will give unto thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me!” (Matt 4:9) Deception. The oldest, most vile and deadly domination of mankind.

The Adversary beguiled Mankind to reject the command of God, by planting a seed of discord between mankind and God, and brought about the fall into sin (disobedience). This was what real horror looked like, but the Adversary dressed it up in a terrific illusion: Power without accountability: “...hath God said ye shall not eat of EVERY tree of the garden?” This created a division; a doubt. The now aware intellect of Eve, was faced with a confusion of ideas/concepts/facts, yet she responded accurately: “...the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye surely die”. (“Where is that man of mine when I need him???”)

The Serpent, then had her right where he wanted her. Eve is the weaker vessel. In her innocence and naivete she was easy pickins for the old Deceiver, the most subtly depraved and sophisticated of all the beasts... he slithered up closer and ssssssaid ”ye shall not surely die; for God doth know that in the day that thou eatest thereof, then your eyes will be opened...” Gen 3:5.

As they say, the rest is history. Man has been falling for that deception since the beginning of creation. The deception of power to be like God. Illumination!! The cumulative drive for more, for the invisible, for the enlightenment, for the elevation of self (prideful boasting) for ultimate control over situations, circumstances, directions, power of social engineering; Satan was the original purveyor of behavior modification!!! The allure of aggregate and exaggerated material wealth, creature comforts, hierarchical power and absolute control...and it always comes at the expense of other human beings. Friends, it is a lie; the greatest lie ever told.

We fall for it continually, because it is presented as a mirage component of elitist humanoid bestowed 'freedom'. It's packaged in the glittery wrap of a twisted determination of what 'freedom' is as given by those who suppose to provide it, but doesn't allude to the attendant responsibility of keeping it safe from those who would use it to enslave others. Ah, yes: the illusive aphrodisiac of self-superiority; the haughty spirit of elitism; the unmatchable arrogance of the great Deceiver, who whispers into their ears “you can be just like God”! And in their narcissistic psychopathy they believe the lie! They then adhere to each other in secreted, selective, protected little circles and groups, shutting out the common man...they set themselves above all others. Brood vipers, pharisees, whited sepulchers, appearing “clean on the outside” but within, are spiritually dead and full of the most vile of all corruptions.

And He said unto them, 'Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men, is an abomination in the sight of God' ”. Luke 16:15.

These are the ones who would rule over you, would deny you the bold, open worship of God, for they care not for the Laws of God; They reject all hints at Law higher than that of their own determination and all restrictions to their own gluttonous appetites and malfeasance. They go about in darkness insisting on crushing those who dare to object to their efforts at removing righteous laws, designed for all of Mankind, that all mankind may live in peace, as far as possible, with each other, yet persuade the many that their actions are for the best purposes. I vehemently disagree. “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil”. 1 John 3:8

There is a wide chasm between the Rule of Law and the Rule of Man. One is meted out equally, without favor or prejudice (God is no respecter of persons, and makes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good alike)  and the other, divined arbitrarily by social or financial rank (punishment for some, but not for others); there is a difference between codified law and whimsical edicts at the hands of tyrants. WHICH SHALL IT BE? When are we going to learn to reject such Commanders of the Collective over us, and claim the rightful freedom and liberty the Lord God gave each of us, personally, in the first place? Freedom to live, commune in and enjoy the harmonious peace of 'doing unto others as we would have done unto ourselves.'

The toxic insanity coursing through the bloodstream of the world comes from the diabolically deluded minds of those who would supplant God, to “be like God”, and who see themselves as god in their oppressive despotism over others. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Prov 16:25

Take heed that no man deceive you. Take strong guard against what the Elitist servants of the Deceiver are going to bring against you. Arm yourself with Truth, not the seductive imaginings of those who will soothe you with words dripping with honey, bribing you into compliance or intimidating you out of fear or financial manipulation. Oddly, fear is an acronym for false evidence appearing real: DECEPTION!

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day...” Ephesians 6:13

It's coming. Prepare yourselves.
