The liberal-leaning think tank New America Foundation is being excoriated by supporters of Israel for hosting a book talk by an author described as “an American hater” of the Jewish state.

In his controversial new book "Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel," Max Blumenthal, a Jewish journalist and the son of Sidney Blumenthal, former aide to President Bill Clinton, accuses Israel of being a fascist nation with parallels to Nazi Germany, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Chapter titles include “The Concentration Camp,” “The Night of Broken Glass,” and “How to Kill Goyim and Influence People.”

The New America Foundation has disgraced itself by providing a forum to Max Blumenthal, says PJ Media writer Ron Radosh.

“At a time when the Obama administration is putting into effect a very, very bad deal with Iran, and incurring the just opposition of our ally Israel, and John Kerry is busy trying to again force Israel into making concessions to promote another round of meaningless Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, how related is NAF’s decision to sponsor a book talk by Blumenthal to the administration’s new agenda?”

Radosh writes. “Does someone who plans events at NAF believe that this is the time to portray Israel in the harshest light possible, in the hopes that it will turn public opinion against Israel, and thereby gain approval for foreign policy measures opposed to Israel’s need for security?

According to an Amazon abstract of the book, Blumenthal paints the Jewish state as a place where democracy is sacrificed for right-wing power politics. Israel, the excerpt reads, is ". . . where the loyal opposition largely and passively stands aside and watches the organized assault on civil liberties; where state-funded Orthodox rabbis publish books that provide instructions on how and when to kill Gentiles; where half of Jewish youth declare their refusal to sit in a classroom with an Arab; and where mob violence targets Palestinians and African asylum seekers scapegoated by leading government officials as 'demographic threats.'"

Pro-Zionist scholar Alan Dershowitz blasts Blumenthal as “an extremist bigot whose greatest appeal is to anti-Semites and others who apply a double standard to the Jewish state,” the Free Beacon reports.
