The controversial Volcker Rule, which limits banks’
trading ability, will be one of the many issues before federal agencies and
advisory boards at meetings the next few weeks.
Here’s the agenda:
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is meeting in Washington on Dec. 10,
and will likely vote to approve a tough version of the so-called Volcker Rule,
which limits banks’ ability to make bets with their proprietary funds. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the
Federal Reserve are also meeting to
consider the issue.
