Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will headline the National Republican Congressional Committee's annual dinner in March, the group announced Tuesday.

"Condoleezza Rice's life embodies the American dream," said Greg Walden, NRCC chairman. "From growing up in the Jim Crow-era south to traveling the world as the nation's top diplomat, she is living proof that our country is the land of opportunity. We look forward to hosting her and working with her to grow that majority in 2014."

According to The Washington Post, she has slowly taken on a more political role since leaving her posts in George W. Bush's administration in addition to her teaching position at Stanford University. The former secretary of state co-hosted fundraising events with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in 2012 and gave a well-received speech at the Republican National Convention the same year.

While the former National Security Adviser has said she does not plan to run for president in 2016, speculations still persist.

Rice implied in a statement released by the NRCC that she plans to help House Republicans with fundraising as they get ready for the midterm elections in November.

"America is at its best when it is strong and prosperous both at home and abroad," she said. "That is why we need a robust Republican majority in the House working each day to promote peace and economic opportunity for all. I'm proud to join with the NRCC in promoting these values across the country."

Other NRCC speakers at the March dinner include Govs. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, Nikki Haley of South Carolina and Chris Christie of New Jersey.
