Brokaw: Tea Party Has 'Every Right' to Stay True to Message (More media networking at its finest)

Brokaw: Tea Party Has 'Every Right' to Stay True to Message
by Tony Lee 10 Nov 2013, 6:59 AM PDT
Appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman on Friday, Tom Brokaw said the Tea Party has been successful because after they got angry and organized, they got to Washington and stayed on and true to their message for limited government.

"This is what they believe and this is what they think is the best interests of the country," Brokaw said.

He said the Tea Party is "neither naive nor ignorant."

"Under the rules of our system, they have every right to express that and when they get to Washington conduct themselves the way that they did," Brokaw said, echoing comments he has expressed about the Tea Party since the historic 2010 midterm elections.
