Feds Blink—Leave Bundy Ranch Area

by Logan Churchwell 12 Apr 2014, 11:10 AM PDT
BUNKERVILLE, NEVADA—The National Director for the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced the cattle roundup operation taking place near the Bundy family ranch has now ended, citing safety concerns.

Breitbart Texas published an in-depth analysis of the entire Bundy ranch matter early today. Breitbart Texas' Managing Director, Brandon Darby, has been present at the Bundy ranch area since April 11. He stated, "Everyone here is very excited about the BLM leaving, but many have expressed concerns about the lack of information given by both the federal government and the sheriff's office." He added, “Will they come back tomorrow? Will they wait until all of the supporters go back home and then resume taking the Bundy family's cattle?"

The BLM’s statement leaves room for such questions.

“Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of the public,” BLM Director Neil Kornze said in a public statement. “We ask that all parties in the area remain peaceful and law-abiding as the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work to end the operation in an orderly manner.”

A local reporter for the Fox News Channel, Matt Finn, claimed on Twitter he’d received confirmation from the Clark County Sherriff that the operation was indeed over.
